Today is pretty much a bust. Wouldn't be getting overly excited about Monday either...similar situation although higher instability, but moisture still seems to be lacking looking at the soundings...average DP's and LCL's are still pretty high. But as other have mentioned will be a stronger front, so you never know.
Need to wait a few weeks for things to really kick in to gear tho by the looks of it.
I certainly wouldn't write this front off, we had 2 weak fronts cross Tassie this week both of which produced showers in the Melbourne area when none were forecast by the BOM. This one is both stronger and closer to us, so let's wait and see, it could just surprise a few of us.
Well, very strange obs from Wilsons Prom! We saw that big cell go right over there, and yet no rain recorded, but a huge rise in temps, from 12.1c to 18.3c in 30 minutes1???

I'll give the weather until midnight to decide what it wants to do, still hoping that an evening thunderstorm may suddenly develop around Melbourne, just have to wait and see...
Hey maybe just a little wishfull thinking going on here but am I seeing a little infeed coming into the change coming into WA? Not a big one but must be getting some moisture from those warm SSTS off the central WA coast.
Did you guys hear a lot of thunder within about 5-10 mins? I thought it was fireworks because the rumbles were almost constant. Am getting the odd rumble now & the neighbors dog is going nuts. Still yet to see any lightning........ Strange!!!!!!
