ASWA Victoria meeting Saturday 9th April 2011

Hi all ASWA members & friends,

A quick heads-up re the date of the next ASWA Victoria meeting at the Pancake Parlour on Doncaster Road in Doncaster.

Please put the morning (8.30 - 12pmish) Saturday 9th April in your diary or on your fridge and come prepared to talk weather and have a fine breakfast.

The agenda includes the popular Weather Magazine by Clyve Herbert discussing:-

- TC Yasi & others
- Victorian rain event
- Central Ranges supercell

as well as d iscussion re the IMAX movie "Tornado Alley - 3D" - Dinner (Lygon Street Melbourne CBD) & the movie in October (Saturday 15th or 22nd October have been suggested). So far we have expressions of interest from more than 30 people!

If you have any images or video you would like to present on the morning , please let Jane O, Clyve H, Jane G , Shane E or Rikki P know.

Excellent all - it's going to be a great rollup!!!!!

We have added Shane Ekerbicer and Dean Narramore (Twister) to the morning's presentations with Clyve Herbert and you'll be treated to local, Western Australina and USA weather (with the odd, very incredibly good looking and amazing tornadoes thrown in for good measure) - between the presenters and the pancakes - you really should join us!!

I am hoping to get there - about a 50/50 chance at the moment. Not healthy to have both severe thunderstorm and pancake withdrawal at the same time

Have just finished rounding up tons of pics and video from my chase-cation last year and let me tell you, that some of the stuff you will see will blow you away, got some unreal pics and video for you all to see.

- Dean Narramore: pictures and video from his 'chase-cation' last year in Tornado Alley including the amazing (jaw dropping) Campo tornado

- A discussion regarding "Tornado Alley - The Movie" and dinner ...our weather enthusiasts' night out in October

Just noticed the event and have already made plans. I wanna get to one of these ASWA meetings one of these days - start putting names to faces! It just happens to be around the corner from my place as well.
