Yeah, it's takin a while for some places to see some action, but the instability is there right through to well after dark.

What are u thinking in terms of north? The stuff west of Echuca? It's not lightning active yet, but looks like it could be something other than a heavy shower. I reckon that gap between Birchip and Swan Hill is going to explode soon.

Thats my thoughts yeah, its been nothing there all day, so the area should be primed to go off. Thinking i may head north... will see when i can knock off and what its doing...

I can relate to this, I get phone calls on a Friday night from a couple of guys in the cricket club who are trying to work out how much they're safe to drink. I'll tell fibs about it one day, so I can laugh at the damage the next.

Speaking of Springhurst, how on earth did you miss the squall that tore through there in November? She was a beauty!

I'm leaving home now and I'll be driving through the cell west of echuca. Lots of rumbling... can't see any lightning at the moment but it's getting blacker by the minute.
Enjoy!!

Ah, ok. The road is open all the way to Kerang now. I probably won't go that far anyway.

Just picked the kids up from school and have to say the tops on that line through Geelong are some of the highest I have ever seen, including Singapore and Darwin. They started high then increased about 20% in height with the overshoot :o

This correlates with my brother's account from Geelong at 3:20pm that (in his words) a wall of dark grey cloud had lowered under the storm and was approaching Geelong. I have asked him to get photos and send them to me.

Rog.
