Lovely Photographs! I've been spending the last half hour or so taking some shots of the same cells! Nice to see them from different angles (our view here wasn't as clear). :D

The cell pictured in IMG_360-363 actually passed directly overhead here, It was developing strongly but I can't seem to find it anymore outside?

I'm trying to find a better way to upload my photos, so hopefully I should be able to post them soon.

Cheers, Cam :D

The mid/upper levels are sure moving along quickly, nice narrow anvil NW with the sun going down.

Some wonderful towers about the place. It is almost tropical given how green it is and how moist it is.

Given the DPs for the next week the rainfall will be high. What is wrong with US is that it gives more rain in NE VIC than it does for the TC in QLD. It also has no rain where rain is falling so case closed. There is nothing you can do about the humidity and the fires in the east will be flooded according to GFS anyway so.....

Nice chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight. More of the same tomorrow.

CMC has 100-200mm for us and then deepens Yasi down into S NSW towards the end of the run making a B-Line for us.

Hardly drier and hotter than normal. :?

The crickets outside are going insane with this humidity, had a few distant rumbles as I watched a developing cell go up very quickly and develop an anvil. Hoping for a direct hit tommorrow !!

Meh, went out for a look, can't say I saw anything too spectacular. Some run of the mill convection that doesn't look like it will amount to much.

GFS was a lot more accurate in it's predictions for today compared to the BoM. Not for the first time either.

There is Accas and towers everywhere outside, 28/22 and disgraceful airmass.

Looks to me like a mid level trough is developing over us and will continue during the night as there is no way it will be able to hold all this moisture.

Just looked at the National Radar Loop. It's almost as if Yasi is sparking off the whole continent. Very spectacular.

I wouldn't stress too much DJ...by the end of Feb you will be able to rejoin the rest of suburbia and have rainforests with permanent waterfalls...

Yes once again looking at 4 days or so of Dps in the low 20s its just nuts how humid this summer has been

Big Falls in SE NSW with Ex TC Ant 30-50mm and still dumping down out that way should see some of this move into the far NE latter tonight

Should be an interesting day tomorrow after seeing SA go up today

Hard to concentrate on the activity here in Vic while there is so much drama unfolding in FNQ! Would love to get out and see what's happening locally, but I'm riveted to the screen watching the biggest storm I reckon I'll ever watch develop.
