A couple of rumbles here in Ashwood probably from that red line heading our way from Moorabbin. Went to a nephew's birthday party at Myuna farm in Doveton at 1pm today. Lovely afternoon, gusty winds, hail, torrential rain and sunny breaks in between. Lucky they booked a cottage room this year

This is the best time of year for SW shower streams converging around a low. Christmas/Boxing Day 2006 saw some massive totals out in the Dandenongs and outer eastern suburbs, up to 80mm if I recall correctly.
Here on the western side of the bay and well inland it is likely to remain fairly fine now and probably not much rain now for the rest of the year looking at the latest models, although there could still be days with local storms over the state.

Rain has stopped here but I'm starting to here rumbles now and they're getting closer. I can't figure out which direction they're coming from.

Bang, we've had a couple of ripping flashes and rumbles here as well. The air is FREEZING! It will hail soon IMO.
