Year rain fall records will be smashed right across the Mallee after this system this is out wettest year in HISTORY in about 120 years which is mind blowing and goes to show JUST how wet it has been
We sitting on 550mm for the Year 600 looking very good Normal year 280mm shows how much we have had most last 3 months with close to 300mm falling last 3 months
Getting Very Black to west with something interesting mid level cloud but nothing great or any lightening yet.
Storms will just form into rain bands hoping this storm holds though a good 20mm dump and crazy lightning and thunder would be great

Baro dropped to 1007 hPa and is steady there over past 2 hours, still dead calm out and temp has eased back to 26C. Rain tonight looks very unlikely.
Round 2 here, with an absoloute vengence, flash flooding... it was a big calm before the storm, constant one second CCs and then came the squalls and now the ridiculous rain.. i said 50mm+, thats certain now
Just spoke to a mate of mine who is a qantas domestic pilot (flying ML-SY-ML) tomorrow. From the data he is getting, he agreed with my analogy of a Melbourne Show ride!

Convection up north moving south, trough not that far away and will only edge closer, no clear indication yet of significant weakening even though the sun is down.
Reading all these amazing posts from everyone out west makes me want to say, YOU LUCKY BARSTARDS, DAMN YOU ALL, DAMN IT DAMN IT.... That's all I have to say now..... carry on.
