Were you home at 13.09? From 13.09-13.17 at Belgrave Recreation Reserve was without question the most amazing rain I've ever, ever seen anywhere.
I was checking my phone to see if I had received the call/text to get on the ark.

Unfortunately I was at work. Missed it all. Do you have any pics?
Rhino wrote:Looks like about it for here so topped out with 88mm for the system, alot more than we needed but mother nature can be nasty at time's. Next week looks wet too so just does'nt stop when you don't really need much.

How is it looking compared to the amount of water that we had in the September event Rhino??
I know further over towards Bendigo we have a lot more water flowing than during that event.
Nowhere near as bad here Gerta, but in the early Sep event I got 90mm in 15 hrs so this has been really saoking rain as opposed to flash flood type rainfall. Steady rain has started again here.
This is riverine flooding rains and equally as dangerous. So not to be taken lightly out there.
Lots of rain coming with a tilting starting to take place. Rain will increase in the southerly and westerly side of the upper low that should travel NE of Melbourne overnight.
Major flood warning for the Loddon River now, must be some serious water being released from Cairn Curran and possibly may release more, and the river at Newstead, already at moderate level, may cut the main road Pyrennes Hwy there. All that water from Vaughan drains into the Loddon so makes sense if they have had 130mm+ there.

The Bendigo-Maryborough road near Laanecoorie had significant amounts of water over it this afternoon. Other roads such as the Maldon - Laanecoorie Rd were worse.
its been raining here consistently for the last 5 hours, too cold and wet to go out and check rain gage but would estimate about 30mils so far, rain has picked up in the last hour but isnt really showing much difference on radar
