Significant thunderstorms moving into the Alice Springs district this afternoon near a pool of cold air and convergence. It looks to be a wild afternoon over the red centre.
This activity should presist for a few days then split west and east as a high and lwt move through S Australia.

There was a thunderstorm warning for large hail and destructive winds with it as it passed through the Alice region.
Also severe storms in Darwin last night dropping 50mm in the northern suburbs and a barrage of 1500 CGs

That is phenomenal Karl!
The Wet Season starting to get ready for your arrival.
Noted that the Alice Springs radar had stopped refreshing mid yesterday afternoon. Perhaps a direct hit?
