I'm now on the road and will have next to no internet coverage.
If anyone would be so kind as to sms me updates if there's anything happening, the number is 0408 128 244.
I'm heading towards Wallan & will decide which direction from there.
Looks like East for cells & development, or North for a few sparkies... Decisions decisions...
Lovely steady rain here all day so far. Just got back from a jaunt to Newham and a quick walk in the garden up on the mount, only 9.9C up there. It felt really cold after the last few sunny warm days. 12.3C here in soggy Macedon.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m
Yes ILS, visible on Doppler first and then starting to show up as echoes.
Interesting for two things, first off the rain out west of Melbourne has stalled and is running the system behind time by a bit, and also the convective activity to our NE is edging SW and should converge with the rain band and erupt in the next few hours.

The heavy rain will contract eastwards overnight and during Sunday morning as the low moves away.
havent be able to get on the net till now but its rainning 11.8mm so far steady and soaking nothing amazingly heavy but possibly thaty will happen later! Had 7.6mm overnight till 9am to so already getting close to that 20 mm mark thinking double should be reached
I'm concerned that increasingly cold conditions and now a southerly at the surface will snuff out anything that comes our way. I'm sounding pessimistic but it NEVER rains much here when a southerly is blowing.
I have to admit I did expect to have the heavy rain earlier than this. Still expect it to come tonight, but it would have been more ideal for it to come in daylight hours (it still may but it has just stalled big time west of the CBD). Could still get an absolute heap overnight, but will be an interesting one to watch.
I am still keeping my fingers crossed for the Northern system to make its way down from Hay to go across Seymour. If anything, we will in for a nice lightning display. As my daughter often states "Please stay away sheep lightning". lol.
We got nice chilly Southerly's blowing through Seymour right now, cold and cold. Drop us about 7 degrees and the mercury still gets lower. Hoping this changes soon.
Rain stalled to the west and now it doesn't look like anything here for hours - i thought this part to the day (afternoon) was supposed to be 'heavy rain'? Maybe it will come.
