Look at the gap on radar between storms in northern subs of Melbourne and the storms crossing the bay to the south. We are going to pass through that gap here and get nothing. Which is what usually happens here.
Word from the folks, it was a very nasty core in Gisborne. The cars had to moved to prevent some hail damage. Hail stone's measured 1 inch and massive flangs
It looks like there is some intensifying in that line up around Broadford, and further north of Seymour. Could see some good action around the ranges in the next couple of hrs for anyone chasing up that way.

Yep, we are going right through the middle of the gap Tony. Very frustrating days weather for us, wind, wind & more damn wind!! grrrrrrrrrrr!!
Oh well, back to the garden. Next system please.
Caroline Springs, Melbourne's meteorological boredom zone.
Seymour area is just starting to cop it, then it will be Yea and uptowards the Alexandra district by the look of things.
Looking very dark out to the west at present. Warnings issued for NC, etc.
Very Nice line around Kilmore Seymour and the Gisbone cell was Very impressive will pick up again over east burbs and into gippy before all lines out
Get some pics and keep watching storms looking very impressive
Had some unstable skies dinner plate drops and few anvils nothing great though.
Nice storms developing to my W NW on SA border but have a long way to go hope they build a bit more and head down this way
31/3c with N wind and sunny convection to my W NW
Trough lining back a bit so still bit more to fire and come through yet
Great cell went over here. Thunder constant for 45 minutes from 3:45, Lightning at 15 a minute. 10mm in 10 minutes and 2-2.5cm hail. All gone now and the sun is out. Very happy

She started West of Kyneton and the line just continued to expand North, system on a SSE trajectory. Hail to the size of 15mm fell for approx 6 minutes in Seymour. Heavy rain. Cleared within 15 minutes. Minor flash flooding, no building damage seen thus far. Photo's of hail will be up shortly.Kris

We've just got home too, the drive back was great, especially just this side of Healesville looking back towards Yarra Glen and the ranges. You wouldn't believe it, the one weekend I didn't take my camera, I was kicking myself, the view of that massive cell from there was awesome! Targa Rally was on up at Eildon area this weekend, we've had a great day watching all the cars. Looks like they'll be finishing up the last stage just in time and will beat the storms which seem to be intensifying on the northern end on radar
