Convection to our NW is rapidly organising. Keep an eye on it!!
Looking very picturesque to the SW with storms encroaching Geelong.
Double damn! Thanks Karl!
Just looking at the weatherstation, it's telling me it's 16c with a DP of 14c and 85% humidity and the wind has turned Westerly- took the dog out earlier, and to my NW there is what seems to look like a large anvil with dark blue bubble-like clouds underneath (sorry for my lameness - I have no idea what they are). To my South, I can see the storms currently savaging the Geelong area - just the tops of them though, and from what I can see, it looks bad. We are in the sunny spot at the moment, hopefully there is something for us, but won't hold my breath.
8.8mm here today so a bit less than surrounding areas in contrast to the other night when we got more. The nature of convective rainfall yet again.
Lots of fresh development happening here to the immediate west with the odd rumble of thunder. Not sure if I'm too far north and/or east for this one but we'll see.
Hi All,
Not up with what everything's called, so just had to stop and take some shots of this so that a) you could all see it and b) tell me more about it.....
Taken at Smythes Creek at 6:06 today, facing roughly north. So the line is running NW-SE... What do you all think??
Towers exploding all around to the west, in the NW as well which is promising. A lot of 'turkeys' in the structure so the uplift is quite impressive atm.
Bright sunshine here now and clear sky overhead, can see some dark messy stuff to the WNW. I don't think we've had that much rain here, a heavy shower or two but the ground is only damp, not wet. Looking at the radars, some parts of Melbourne are going to get smashed tonight! What are the chances for the outer east, can anyone tell me?
Lets keep the chatty stuff for the chat box down the bottom of the page thanks. I will leave this open for posting observational and stats based data as well as pictures and reports.
Sun gone behind the storm now, the one to the NW has a little rotation on the backside. Will be watching closely. Looking good for a lightshow too!!
Got some scud ahead of the grey now, strong inflow winds from the east. Its gunna go boom on my head or reform over cranbourne Pakky way for Loo. No temp drop as yet.
Once again these storms caused by the introduction of the early daylight savings change. You mess with nature and these things happen.
Karl careful, dont alienate people I didnt know the chattybox was there! and Im a cumonimbus thingy.

OH MY GOD. Can somebody please report from geelong or thereabouts? I can see the most darkest and most severe wall cloud i have seen in a long time from here. Whatever is happening, it has to be severe
