For those of you who are plane mad, there was a rumour of an ADF Air Pageant at Newcastle on the weekend of September 18/19 2010. It has gone from a very reliable rumour (I booked flights from melb on the strength of it, took the risk, plane mad) to a very reliable soon to be announced fact.
So I feel its safe to say its a goer. Flights into Newcastle on the weekend and days before and after are limited. Keep an eye on prices and availability. If you are plane mad, Id go for it now.
If it falls over for some reason which wont happen , theres already enough plane mad people descending into NTL to make for a wild party! Be flying one way or the other!

Confirmation came through last week, http://www.raaf.gov.au/AirShows/ for details. Looks just as good as an Avalon show IMHO.

Ahh bugger right in the middle of the AFL finals. Oh well ill have to wait till Avalon. It will be interesting how they cope with the extra services with Tiger flying out from their later this year.

Damn ! Melbourne Showtime and a number of large scale auctions are on around then that I will be attending. Plus its settlement week on grandads place, would have loved to have been there
