Cant wait to see your pics guys from the storm over the city.
Lightning was very sporadic up here. And mostly cc. Only saw 10-15cg's in 2 hours. Got 1 shot that im stoked with however. Will put up later. Have to head out till 11pm now. Hears hoping it will continue on later tonight....
I live in a world where I dont see to believe, but I believe to see...
Hey Ricky, IMHO I don't think you've missed much photographically down here in the smoke. The light show is impressive, but most of the lightning has been CCs and embedded in the clouds or the rain curtain. It lights up the sky, but there is no real structure, so its not at all photogenic - just bright sheets.
Unfortunately I'm just too far north too, and the rain has missed me completey (so far). The moon and stars are out towards the NW, with magnificent CC's to the SE. At one point they were happening every 5 seconds...sensational!! I ate dinner by candle light with all the blinds open so I could watch...brilliant! Not much thunder at all, unfortunately, but great to watch!
Still belting down here, unfortunately my PC crashed during the middle of storm so not certain how much rain we have had. Will have to check manual gauges when the rain stops. outside gauges when the rain stops. Well over 30mm's now i think
WOW WOW WOW!!! Best and so much Fork Lightning, all around me there was CC's CG's everywhere it was insane i have never seen so many, usually only a few close ones and the rest flashes. Flangs aswell it was great
general light to moderate rain here, no wind. Looks like it is dying down for the night out west. The heat is going. Wouldn't be surprised if there is pea soup fog tomorrow.
