Cold showery Sunday down here though showers were fast moving and very hit and miss. Did make it up to Kunanyi mid arvo to catch a nice little blizzard. Nice wet day ahead for today, before a warm up. Low for next weekend. That system looks good for rain down in the southeast but will bring record heat to our north. Seems no half measure for the weather this year.

Btw webcam up the mountain caught a stunner of a coldie late arvo. This one dropped a quick inch or so of snow before dying over the plains east of Hobart.

That is a fantastic photo! One for the BOM calendar surely?

Back to the thread, and this has been a good follow-up for us. A further 8mm makes 20.5mm for this event, and 59mm mtd.

Feral out there this morning, with horizontal showers in gale force winds at 6.5C.

Yes, incredible photo of that coldie.

Windy here too this morning. Got woken up around 4am with an extremely heavy shower. Just over 10mm here from showers yesterday and overnight. That takes our monthly total to 88mm, which is an amazing turnaround from the past few months. Given the broader trend, it all feels like a stroke of luck!

A little more to come today with the showers and then it's a stretch of dry and warmer weather. Hopefully some further follow up rain going into next week.

Stunning photo. Nice coldies down the bay this morning. Just had a pretty decent hail shower too! Looks like the southern slopes are getting nice snow with BB and LM looking to have had 5-10 cm so far.

[smention u=143]Macedonian[/smention] how about you?

Back to wooden jumpers today. July like presently.

Nice wintery one down here. Feels like the southeast is in its own little world atm with cooler weather and rainfall while the rest of Oz sees grinding dry and heat. Picked up 2mm with most falling sideways mixed with hail in gale force swl flow. Odd spot around here close to 20mm

Bit of a cover on the mountain, though will melt pretty quickly tomorrow.

Next low showing up for Friday. Looks very wet for TAS, fairly wet for south Vic, and hot and dry for areas further north. We may well see another repeat of the chilly southeast scorching elsewhere scenario. Some quite awful temps back in WA which will get dragged east, including a record 44C at Geraldton (which also bettered the November record) and an early season record of 37C in Perth today.

Bit over this winter weather but in Melb you always pay for the nice sunny warm weather lol.

Least next 4 days will be nice with to low to mid 20s and sunny so looking forward to that, then really cool to near cold on the weekend into early next week, then messy next week could be anything.

12mm for this event being a wet month things are green and growing well

Nothing further north and dry roles on for many

Weekend low expecting little in Vic mostly Tassie eveny just cool to cold windy with a few showers for southern Vic
Bring on the heat and stroms

Actually scored a light frost here this morning with a minimum of 1.9C. Warm day then with a max of 21C. Models seem pretty settled for the weekend. Low developing out of the easterlies. Looks very wet for Tasmania, with lighter falls for southern VIC. We do need a big fall down here before summer.

No complaints here about the weather. Better than days of smoke and fires and heat which is happening for much of the NT, NSW and QLD atm. Nasty set up for those areas.

We got a bonus 12mm from the showers through Sunday night and Monday. Had some nice chunky showers on Monday morning.

Month to date now 157mm.
