Hillybilly (David), Blackee (Anthony) & me, 93ben (Ben) have taken over running the forum after the passing of Rivergirl (Robyn) last year . I just wanted to let you know that I'm currently in the progress of cleaning up and updating things after I was able to finally gain access to it. We will post more later.

Was thinking that perhaps Melbourne might have got "saved" by the persistent patch of cloud but it's now gone and temps gone off like a rocket.

39C at Point Cook, 36C in the city. Would think 37C is a good chance now. Change is only 20 minutes out, or so.

A late max here of 35c. Wild winds for a fair part of this afternoon but now it’s calm following the cool
change and 21c. No rain but cloudy for a fair part of the day. Hopefully that’s it for 30+ days until spring.

Progs looking good for a pattern switch with two or three small lows forming out of easterly dips. Not your normal autumn weather but whose to complain of it means rain :D looks quite good for central and eastern vic. Also northeast third of tas. Not so much western vic or southeast tas, though could shift. New thread time :D

Max down here in Howden of 23C yesterday. I do like avoiding nearly all those horrible windy dusty days in vic, which are just disgusting.

Some crazy heat just across the border today. Multiple 44C rounded in inland NSW. 37.4C Canberra just 0.1C off the March record and a late season record. Mt Boyce 34C at 1000m. Unprecedented heat for so later in autumn :o

Next summer is not going to treat us nicely if the long range forecasts are correct :?

Great day yesterday even though worked most of it, sad was the last burst of summer for another year :(
Why does it go so fast every year crazy, wish winter went that fast.

Patch of cloud wrecked some of the heat yesterday but still got hour at beach in water till bloodly change came through was instant shift and cool.
Out of the water off home we all went was windy to and cold.

Thanks summer its been fun but last summer was way better wont be another like that for years probably :( :( :( :(

Cool mild grey and showery next 7 to 10 days, good for those looking for rain but the grey dullness not fun for me, but few areas gonna get good drink needed

Yes huge day in NSW today many records fell and only tatse of whats to come next spring summer, gonna be big shock for many with lots of hot days and many records falling espically if Winter is dry which away from the coast it just might be. :(
Bring on the heat and stroms

We might be right on the edge of the rain for the next few days - touch & go. North-central/ north-east looks good.
