Not much of system so far for southern Tasmania, but looks like that is about to change with a new low developing in Bass Strait. This digs south and puts a brief period of potentially heavy rainfall through Hobart and southeast Tasmania tomorrow. Could do with a top up after a couple of weeks with lots of wet days but almost no rain.

Currently in Sydney where there was a cracking storm mid arvo. Couple of shots, I took earlier. Quite a lowering on the backside of the cell that went through the airport, but don’t think it reached the ground. First thunder I’ve heard in three months :D

Only a couple of mm this afternoon. Very hit or miss.

Next week deserves its own thread - looks ominous.

Other than four calm overcast days in a row 18-19.5C, nothing to report here. The system has weakened markedly this arvo, the remnants to slump rapidly over Tassie tonight.

Time to get interested in the next decent event later next week.

Think it still fits in this thread but we got another 11.75mm in showers Friday night and yesterday.

Showers again here tonight.

Scored 12mm on Saturday so top up, but heaviest falls stayed just to our east. Mtd just shy of 20mm.

Nice cold one this morning with showers and 3C. Snow line is about 200m atm, with the odd flurry quite possible to sea level. First proper winter weather in Tasmania for about a month.

We had just over 23mm for the event here, followed by another 8mm with the passage of the cold front last night.

Still on track for some fairly decent followup rain across a fair chunk of Vic and Tas later this week.

Our grand total was 34mm. A good outcome.
