Couple of photos from our local beach (Blackmans Bay). Crazy surf today. Some waves would have been 20 foot top to bottom. The Derwent Beaches are very sheltered and need swell to come from due south to get big waves. Locals I talked to reckoned these were the biggest in more than ten years.

Snowy Hydro's Three Mile Dam reading is in: 55.9cm on 14 June. Best start since 2000. Not as impressive as Spencers Creek (best since 1968!) but underscores how exceptional the early snowfalls have been.
