EC nailed it for our area: 23 mm here, 26 mm at Millbrook, 27mm Ballan and numerous similar totals locally. (GFS and BOM (2-8mm) didn't do quite so well...)

Really good to see so many other 'inch' falls about - a true Autumn Break, though as HB said earlier, many had sort of had it already :). Fantastic start to April!

Of course it rains lots when my roof is being replaced - I have water every where it should not be. :x

23mm recorded at home overnight to add to what's been a remarkable wet start to the year for this area. :D

I'd be happy if we had the most miserable cold, wet winter on record, especially considering we can't do too much atm outside of work.
Might as well be entertained by the weather at least.
Bring on the low level snow this year! ;)

That low is starting to spin up in Western Vic. On the satpic loop she is really starting to crank. Baro here currently 1005.2 but I am expecting it to maybe go sub 1000 this arvo / evening.

A few passing light showers this afternoon. Checked immediately local PWS on Wunderground, they had falls of 30 - 39mm overnight.

The first shower was when I visited the partner in nursing home, the staff brought her out into a garden area and I was outside the fence thus not breaking the no visiting requirement. Thankfully it was very brief.

Pretty cool and showery here with the wind just starting to pick up after a remarkably calm 48 hours. Another 3.5mm.

A solid 29mm overnight and now raining very heavily under that cell training over the Eastern suburbs at the moment. The garden isn't complaining.

Hammering down here at the moment, still and foggy. Quite eerie lighting. Rain is more typical of a summer storm than an autumn low. Great rain for the garden :D

Had about 10mm so far to add to the 27.6mm overnight.

Great to see. A solid autumn break for people, and should be enough warmth and sunshine before winter for a bit of growth :D

Just hammering down here still. Really foggy too. Now up to 25mm since 9am and 53mm for the thread. Garden is a lake with water everywhere despite us being on top of a hill.

Our YTD is now 515mm :D Be a long time since we have had such a good start to a year. Such a nice change from those hot dry spells which have been too common in recent years :?

Nearly 30mm in past 24 hours here.

Looks like a similar amount tomorrow night if EC is on the money again.

Incidentally, March 2020 had max temp mean about 1c below average here.

Hopefully I get to see that this year if it happens because atm I can't drive there as it won't be deemed "essential".

Southern Dandenongs special yesterday arvo with 31mm. Shows up nicely on the accumulated radar with my gauge sat in the middle of a 25mm plus peak :D Event on 59mm.

Cracking system for tonight. Becoming windy today with a late band of heavy thundery rain. EC has it moving through central about 2am with lots of sparks. Pretty unusual timing for storms, but the Synoptics are intense and EC is usually very good so wouldn’t be surprised. Then two very cold wet and wind at days. 850Ts dip to about -1 and pressure is quite low, so could be so snow should fall to 1000m and perhaps a bit lower. Expecting another 50mm, which will put us mighty close to our monthly average by Monday night.

Flood watch for central, northeast is out
Sheep graziers warning
Looks like storms developing to the west, north west of here.
Could be a good arvo.
25 mm here so far another 15 to 20 would be very nice
