Couple of photos I’ve captured this morning flying back from Canberra.

Snowy Mountains under a solid cover of snow. The snowline is remarkably low, down to about 1500m on the western sid of the range. There wasn’t much snow in Vic, with only a dusting on Bogong and around Hotham to Feathertop. Bogong has two fires burning on its eastern side, while the top is dusted white. The fires out in Gippsland look very big with valleys full of smoke :?

Nice Pics. Just shows we really are a country of all extremes!

Side note: I'm sure the last 6 weeks or so has been the most windiest (average) period we have had in a long time. Saturday onwards looks to keep that trend going.
