Just went for a quick drive around, thought thats a big line developing to my N and NW, but wont come near us....had a look on the current radar and thought again!
Wow AV, u might be in the right (or should i say wrong spot!). I suppose if its a big line, the western suburbs wont escape unscathed will they? We got a nice drop of rain yessterday, rain guage is stuffed so i dont know how much.Would love a follow up. The grass is so much greener already!
Hi all first post on this forum
Am thinking that this line will keep its intensity upon tracking towards melbourne and surrounds temp and dp's look promising enough
heres hoping for more of the wild stuff
on a side note, the dams should be getting a good drink for this time of year
Potential for a massive caning for many of us, particularly on the ranges where there is extra uplift, that's where some of the embedded cells could get interesting.
Agree there Sam. Pretty green here as well after yesterday's good dumapge. Has been pretty humid and warm since lunchtime and makes me wonder how intense it is gonna be when it gets here
Hi All, I found you...... Great to read posts for today, you are all very informative. Not much happening here in Geelong at the moment but I cant help but agree with predictions of a wild few hours ahead for all metro area. My brother is in Shepp, ill get a report shortly if I can.

Towering Updraft wrote:TS, Tell Ben that he needs to get out the way of that embedded supercell ASAP.....if it catches him he may cop not only a hail pounding but a tornado wrapped in the rain. Not sure if he realises that lol...there is massive curvature behind the line from the SC, looks like a classic Rear Inflow Jet on a growing squall line. We are skipping back towards Finley watching for damage and also to go for the SCs appearing just north of the Border.
Dw mate am guiding him and he does know a bit but def needs my help, have stopped him going down in front of that supercell core, am telling him to do everything he can do stay east of the line but may need to finally punch it in a 'safer' area to catch the new storms are you mention. Not over yet, will go into the evening near the border.
