Yes, you don’t have to be Einstein to realise what’s happening to our climate and what’s coming as a consequence. We are trying to sell our house, only hope we haven’t left it too late. It’s too risky to stay. While everyone knows about climate change, I don’t think most people have any idea of what it’s going to do to asset prices and living standards.
Nothing will happen. Fearmongering at its best. The climate change crusaders want you and i to be scared, whilst they make billions of dollars and buy up the good property along the water edge. The same property they're telling everyone to sell.
Climate has, and always will change. Building in forest areas or a known flood plain, and complaining your house might burn down is like jumping into shark infested waters knowing you'll get bitten, but not knowing when.
There are bigger things to worry about in life. Leave the climate to Mother Nature and God to take care of.
Leave it up to God? Hmmm. Maybe not.
I suppose one could be so sure that there isn't anything to worry about and just sit it out in suburbia with the aircon blaring.

Rained for quite a while here yesterday but just light. 2mm in the gauge. That’s about 15mm for the week. Everything’s got a green tinge, but still dry underneath.
Cool to mild but dry week ahead. Perhaps something brewing about next weekend.
Probably time for another “warm and dry thread”. Could well see some records with this one, particularly for areas west of Victoria. Glad to be south of the heat and perhaps inline for some rain here in Tasmania.
March was record warm and capped by far the warmest 12 months on record for Australia, so basically a warm April just continues the “new normal”. Hopefully we get some rain for the mainland to ease the drought.
Just 1.6mm for the “event”. Unprecedented dry roles on here, no rain in forecast, been slightly above average temperatures for start of this month but that will spike this week.
5mm here over the weekend from fronts with a few showers
cold the other morning near freezing sign of winter coming
last 2 days grey bleak bit depressing so glad warmth is on the way
Impressive, near crazy burst of warmth this time of year Thurs to Tuesday next week could see 3 or 4 30c days if EC is right but more like a long run of 28 to 30c days with lots sunshine light winds and mild evenings im excited and sure millions folk will wish this weekend weather was next weekend for easter activites camping travl etc
agree no soaking rain till after Easter possiblely more so into May i reckon
On a brighter note, the Darling River looks like it'll get a good flush this Autumn. The Paroo River is higher than 1990 levels, and decent flows are being recorded at Walgett and also in the Warrego River.
The Menindee Lakes will certainly enjoy that (currently just 33% capacity).

If you ask me I would say that a long run of 28 to 30° at this time of the year is depressing. Dry, sunny and depressing.

Nah can still get out and about in this weather, house is open, evenings sitting outside, city is a buzz in the evenings eating outside, shorts and shrits, amazing sunsets, dont need to bundle up so nice but those weeks of dark cold grey drizzle is coming thats depressing just inside all the time with heater on. But we all love what we love
But much of SE Aus desperate for rain all need a soaking 30 to 50mm def need that big soaking so def get that and want a huge soaking for SA and much of western and Northern Vic but sadly nothing next 2 weeks crazy dry run.
