Indian Ocean SSTa is worth noting. Really warm patch South of India, and a cold patch near Java is having a strong influence IMO.
There could be a supercell outbreak in Vic tomorrow afternoon looking at those SRH values... Tornado anyone?
You look like being in a prime spot for intense storms tomorrow. Dew points are rising around the state and the air certainly feels like something's brewing

I'm getting genuinely worried tbh. LI of -5c and SWEAT index > 500 indicates supercell carnage is possible.

Here we go. Blue, warm and sunny in Melb presently. Radar looking more intense from the west with each frame

Round One. 5mm and some hail the size of a one dollar coin. That was intense.

I expected just a sprinkle for most of Melbourne and it seems that's exactly what will happen.

as far as severe storms go that was rather dissapointing, a couple big rumbles after it had passed

hale rain and storms for Bendigo but here in Raywood the little rain we had didnt even make it to rain gauge. Lots of wind but we seem to have a bubble protecting us
