10mm here. Got quite heavy at times and also better than forecast.
Surprisingly, the wind hasn’t actually been as bad as I thought it would have been. Would be good if it stayed that way, but unfortunately round 2 coming up overnight and tomorrow…

In Melbs this week where the rain band was pretty solid though skipped through fairly quickly. Good for footy clearing just in time for a great Collingwood win
Southwest gales to push through from about noon. Be nasty in the eastern burbs. Snow levels look like dipping to 800m or so, so tops of Macedon. Trentham probably 50;50, but too mild for the Nongs.
Another system that just isn’t meant for Tasmania. Basically circulating around us with the north low too far north and the southern low too far west. Really been an ordinary couple of months for us with record warm and no direct hits. Eventually our time will come.
Really not liking progs for the week ahead. Huge upper high over Oz in September is not to be expected in earlier September. Gonna see record fall if that sticks around for long.

It's been a while since we've had weather like this. Definitely the worst of the year. Frequent gusts over 60km/h here and showery weather blowin almost sideways.
Chilly too. Currently 8 degrees with a wind chill below zero at times

I reckon yesterday's unseasonal heat and north wind was far worse than a good spring cold snap.

The wind was pretty bad here last night. Got woken up a lot to hear the house getting battered, and there was a fair bit of mess around the place this morning.
Still very gusty this morning, but it has been slowly easing over the past couple of hours.
Just a couple of brief showers here today but not enough to register in the gauge. Looks like east central will do very well with the onshore flow, but otherwise it's a bit of a frustrating system with stacks of wind but not so much rain, which is a pattern we've seen a lot of over the past few months.
It is fairly cold though, but not extremely. Currently 8c here after a minimum this morning of 5c.

After several hours of nerve-wracking, house-rattling wind, it seems to have swung a bit more to the south-west, and backed off somewhat. Fingers crossed...
Edit: Just after I posted, there were a few blobs of wet snow during a heavy shower.

Agreed! Wind has dropped, but haven't seen more than 5C today, and often down to 3.5 to 4C with the heaviest showers.
Another 6mm since 9am so up to 20mm for the last day or so. Adding to earlier in the week, quite a healthy start to September.

Been very windy and very cold here.
Ballarat Airport recorded a gust of 80kmh earlier
Maxed out at 7.8c at the Airport.
Reached just 7.3c here in Sebastopol with 16mm's of rain since yesterday
afternoon.
Looks different next week with temperatures over 20c (23c) expected
on Friday. Will be our first over 20 degree days since April if that comes off.

System split Tasmania
Cold but just a mm in the gauge. Should get a bit more tomorrow with a weak trough. Snow to quite low levels here today, though only a few cm so won’t stick for long.
Progs for the week ahead are quite shocking. Enjoy the cold folks
EC has temps into the 30s somewhere in Vic most days from Wednesday rising to over 37C in the Mallee. Damn, I want another cold rainy thread

Another 29mm here since yesterday morning. Only some short breaks in stream showers overnight and this morning. It’s still raining solidly now.
We managed to miss the worst of the winds here. Cold but no hail in any of the showers.
This is a pretty good/normal start to spring for us. Hopefully gives us a buffer from the warmer and drier summer that’s looming.

Wow, just went outside to start gardening and it started to snow. I was doubtful last night when they said snow to 700m this morning
3.5° now.
