67mm in Sale @ home for event, + another7mm emptied from mid last week, rivers up a bit but nothing major locally, (will be
on water after lunch), wind in the N/W & 40's, gusts into the 50's, typical windy SALE ! 8-)

Locally, MT MOORNAPA 40k's NNE of here had about 145mm, lifted Freestone Creek and Avon River, dropped and steady
now. Been a wet season, grass everywhere and stock prices best ever, saw a local vealer recently 586cents/Kg live weight, who
can afford steak very often :D ?

The latest sounding for Melbourne has Total Totals measured at 60, which is the highest I’ve seen since I started paying attention.

Cold night for November there Mike. Had a low of 3.5c here. The showers were moving quickly today and a bit sparse at times, so only 1.4mm here.

Should be cold enough for the odd wet flurry and perhaps a bit more around the tops of the Otways.

3.4C here this morning with 12mm in the gauge. Event just shy of 60mm now and mtd about 100mm :D Had very heavy graupel here about 5am. Heavier falls to my south east with a few spots north of 20mm.

Snow to sea level around southeast Tas. Looks to have settled to 100 to 200m. Heard of falling snow at Kettering, Kingston and Franklin at sea level which is consistent with the obs.

Looking ahead a bit the latest GFS run suggests a big rain event (again) for Tasmania and Victoria later in the week.

A couple of mm yesterday and overnight takes is to an event total of 16mm. Feels like July, not November. I remember a similar extended cold outbreak like this occurred in November 1989.

The coming weekend again looks volatile. EC and GFS look rather apocalyptic with another Low drifting in from Inland and bombing in Bass Strait, but ICON and others not so much with a high ridging in.

Another 9mm here from dumping showers. 4C outside. The last 3 days plus today must break some sort of 4 day November record (at least for recent decades) for temps in some areas?

Friend at Khancoban (300m asl) says it's 2C there this morning!

Might be the odd obscure record and short station record, but spring cold isn’t that remarkable. Was looking back at Hobart which dipped to -2.9C. Coldest since the 1950s, which is quite impressive :D . No snow with this event that I can tell, but snowed at Kettering, Port Arthur, Kingston and a few other spots.

There are five historical reports of December snow in Hobart cbd with a couple settling and two snowfalls in December 1906. So rare, but no record there.

In the Nongs we missed out on snow but was close, perhaps 0.5C on it. It snow here in December 2002 and 2006.

These days frustrate like hell when you think what the trend means. Take 1-1.5C off the average and we would have had a few cms in the garden this morning :(

EC and GFS runs look big for west central coming up for the next 9 days. See what happens when we move closer but this will be another thread.

Had a real mix bag down on the island over the weekend. Was mainly dry on Saturday which allowed me to get most of the gardening out of the way.
Yesterday was horrible, windy filth during the morning and squally showers in the afternoon. Very wet on the drive back through the south eastern suburbs which drove the Kelpie a bit crazy in the front seat of the ute (spent the entire time chasing the windscreen wipers) :x

Just the odd shower coming through here at work. Plenty of windy filth around as well unfortunately.

Another mix bag of a week coming up with yet another wet weekend.

70mm mtd here so already above average… west central doesn’t need anymore rain… so much water lying around.
