Month to date is 47mm which is just under the mean of 54mm for September. Looking at the next 10 days we'll probably end up with an average month for rainfall. Although Northwest of here it'll be yet another failed month.
The very wet scenarios forecast by nearly all the climate models were way too optimistic. Crops will be average to even below average in Vic cropping regions this year.
13mm here, more than expected. Puts us less than 1mm off our September average, and tracking 80-100mm ahead on ytd average (with 10 days still to go in the month). Bumper season so far.
Snow is forecast here later today, but so far this year, snow forecasts have been the kiss of death so I'm not breaking out the skis just yet!
BOM East Sale, WNW @ 41kph gusting to 50kph, very windy week ahead of us, typical
Spring weather.
Another 4mm of rain overnight.
ACCESS Cold uppers @ 850hPa of -2C to -4C over next 24hrs or so and with most of Vic under
that cold air mass our forecast Max. tomorrow of 13C might barely be reached.
Picked up 9.75mm from this series of fronts, today's would have been a great trigger for an ECL if that weak NW cloudband pushing through NSW atm, had have still been in place over Vic this arvo.
Chilly 8C here today with lots of showers, graupel, couple of rumbles and a few wet flurries Those are the first for the year. Think that makes 2021 equal with 2009 as our least snowy winter.
The coldest air has moved into north central and headed for central NSW so expect some low level snow up there.

As always (in regards to NSW). I'm convinced we've just had absolute bad luck with low level snow the past 10 years or so.

A friend of mine in central west NSW already has 3cm on the ground. He is a Yetholme near Lithgow, just under 1200m asl. Not exactly low level.
They always do better up there than we do down here. I reckon we are too close to the ocean.
Cold and moony here now. The snow that fell earlier is still frozen in place but it is nothing really worthwhile.
-0.2C now.
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m

Take 1.4C off last nights temperatures and we would have had a few cms in the garden this morning. No luck, it’s all about the temperatures at low elevations. Every low level elevation you look at has the same trend.
18mm in the gauge this morning. Lots of graupel and small hail and a few flakes. Warm air advection kicking in so will turn drizzly later.
17.25mm yesterday and overnight. Had some really strong winds during the morning then plenty of heavy showers and frequent small hail in the afternoon and overnight.
We've had 28.5mm for the event.
Classic showery SW flow set up over us this morning, should stay pretty wet here today.

City just passed its September average
It snowed low near here, Reefton just over 10km up the road had some snow overnight, it's probably melted by now though.
This is in the mountains behind home, this must be around 600m asl I am guesing, and there was still tiny specks and remnants of snow a little lower from this morning between 400-500m near Warby, I think we did pretty well for this event.
