you've already had a bit with more on the way by the looks..

Passing 25mm for the 24hrs here now with plenty inbound from the spinning low from the SE. We only got to 7c today, mostly sitting around 5c which is super cold for June.

This is my kind of weather. If it was like this every day I wouldn’t mind one bit. I just love rain, and it has been pelting down all day here in Box Hill. So relaxing!😍

Probably one of the wildest days I’ve experienced up here. Huge gusts ripping through the trees, sideways rain, fog and bark and leaves flying. 25mm in the gauge. Started on 3.4C but now up to 9C as the warm moist air surges east from the Tasman Sea. The backside of the Dandenong have had a lot more with 50+ mm widespread. A few fall on the Yarra Flats starting to approach 100mm since midnight :o For the event I’m now just over 50mm :D

Has about another 18 hours to run here before the low ends up in NSW. Crazy winds will peak early hours of tomorrow. Heavy falls particular from South Gippsland through the Yarra Ranges.

Substantial storm surge on the bay, and crazy snowfalls. Expect the coast round Williamstown must be getting hammered atm. Currently snowing to 300m on the eastern side of the Snowy Mts, while it’s raining at 1800m on Mt Buller. Huge falls through the Snow Mountains and a dump of snow across the Monaro plains.

Thanks for the link hillybilly, good site.
Bit of wind coming thru now from SSE, highest gust East Sale 80kph.
This evenings BOM forecast for here, may be a long time before seeing something like this again -

"Rest of Wednesday Forecast Rain Precis Rain. Possible heavy falls.
When will it rain?
Time Possible rainfall Chance of any rain
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm 4 - 10 mm 100%
10:00 pm - 1:00 am 6 - 15 mm 100%
1:00 am - 4:00 am 6 - 15 mm 100%
4:00 am - 7:00 am 7 - 15 mm 100%
7:00 am - 10:00 am 4 - 10 mm 100% "

16mm to date and a surprising current temp 13.5C.

Remembering about 2007 when Valencia Creek/Briagolong had a lot of rain and high Southerlies which are a rarity, Red
Gum Trees lining the roadsides were blownover same and something like 25 - 30 were very willingly removed by locals, Shire
who were run of their feet didn't take issue on that occasion of the fire wood collection :D

Bay was wild this evening. I live at port Melb and went down at 6pm after work 3 hours after high tide and waves were still overtopping the rock walls and sea wall at sandridge beach , not seen it that crazy rough before. At high tide it would have been even worse. 3 metre waves out in the bay today for sure.

Probably the worst wind I've experienced in 25 years here. No anemometer or internet-accessible one nearby to conclusively back that up, but the house is getting absolutely blasted head on; rain going up and under the front door and into the house by sheer force. I was in a house on the Great Lake in Tassie in January with verified 100km/h gusts nearby and this feels about the same. Only blessing is, no trees close enough on that side to hit us if they fall.

No doubt there's been stronger winds from the north, but we've got forest back there to take the sting out of it. Hopefully when the wind moves a bit more to the south-east, another area of forest will reduce oue exposure somewhat, because this is supposed to continue until dawn! Can't believe we've still got power.

Gradually increased southerly wind here from late arvo to now. Brewing up to be a memorable night perhsps.

Not much rain, nearing an inch. A few power and TV reception glitches past hour. Power is out in parts of Sale I heard.

Absolutely wild here too. Extreme winds shaking the house plus driving, sideways rain. It has been raining non-stop since mid-morning. 54mm for the event so far, lots of surface water about the place, and quite a few reports of flooding and trees down around the Gisborne area. Cold too, with the temp sitting around 8c all day.

Amazing event Baw Baw and Yarra Ranges getting smashed isol 200mm by morning maybe even 250 the Thomson dam will do very well, prob years worth of water for Melb with this event maybe more.

Howling winds and 40mm of rain so far its been wet as.
Loving the winds but want more lol stronger think there be fair amount of damage in the morning re trees down and many rivers will be in flood tomorrow as well.

25mm at Nhill is fake and wrong

More dust in the Mallee today with crazy winds :( :(
Bring on the heat and stroms

Consistently high rainfall figures in the high country and foothills, plenty of run off !

...but that wind...

Definitely next level with sustained high wind speeds. Usually it's just gusty breezes, but this has been going for 4 hours non stop now... there'll be lots of damage for sure

Not a bin left standing on my street. The last buy gust topped out at 70km/h followed several bangs. I'm genuinely worried😫
