Thanks Blackee - were you up up near Mildura?

Just poured out 31.5mm, mostly from light floury easterly drizzle, very decent totals around the foothills between Maffra to Cann River over same period.

After a couple of hours break, it has returned to thick drizzle again - despite the baro now rising through 1024 hPa. As typical from my records since 1983, our best easterly rain totals occur when the baro at Maffra is around 1015-1016 hPa (I guess that means an inland low pressure centre approaching SE NSW).

After a confidence sapping 13.25mm for all of April here, we have now had 53.5mm rain so far this month - plenty of smiling faces about in the cold wet main street of Maffra today.

Another mm here today, so just over 50mm MTD. Tracking nicely, and a cold, wet and windy weekend coming up. City is near its monthly average already.

One day’s break in the weather, then a nice blast of wintery weather. Could be solid snowfalls on the alps. EC has snow to about 1000m, while UK, GFS and GEM showing snow levels could dip to around 600 to 700m.

Finished with a touch above 17mm here and now on 76.8mm MTD. Those showers last night were pretty wild, with squally winds and heavy bursts. Just steady, thick drizzle this morning, but it added a fair bit to the total. Quite cool with a max of 10.8c today. Looking forward to another cold burst this week! Not expecting much rain here given the setup, but it will be nice to have some wintry-type weather anyway.

So much for our one sunny day: icy, drizzly fog here all morning - and we're on a hill top at 620m asl :(.

Terrific drop of rain, just on 39mm in Sale, see Orbost & Mallacoota both close to 67mm.

Mt Moornapa about 26km NNE of Maffra also 67mm.

Very handy :D

Glorious autumn day in the city - really Melbourne at its best. Warm sun and light winds.

Tis all about to change - new thread time :D
