Looks done here might get lucky this arvo but doubt it
Had 4mm overnight and maybe another 5 this morning.
Were always on the edge of the main rain except early on
in the models when there was a 100 mm bullseye over us, LOL
Edit: I suppose one of the missing ingredients was heat and
change coming through early?

Last time i called a fizzer, i was absolutely wrong, but this today looks like a fizzer it seems. Too fast moving.

If that's the trough on the radar, then I'd better water the tomatoes

Looks like home is about to be hit with work not far behind. Will probably get a quick fire 5-10mm if that.
Dud of a system compared to last Friday's.

EC has it going until midnight, so I’d wait a few hours before calling it. Bands can spring out of seemingly nowhere.

Unfortunately I'm located in the western hellhole, so I'm definitely calling it for this area at least.

This is going to be an epic fail by the looks of it. One little storm then nothing.

There is still moisture coming through Adelaide and there is a long way between it and us.. So I back more bands to pop-up to the west once this band clears. Sure it might not.. But I don't think it's done with yet. The hottest part of the day still to come and a clear slot showing on satellite.. Hope yet IMHO.

Cracking loud thunder, lightning and torrential rain for about 15 minutes in Brighton East.

Was at the beach just before it hit and the sky was black everywhere and decent humidity considering I was right next to the water.

It’s rare to have 360 degree very grey/black sky.

Gut feel tells me tonight will be monumental

That was a nice 5 minute fast moving thundery squall. I'm with the optimists though in hoping that surely that's not it... Later tonight maybe?

Its still to humid to be without hope. Once u feel the air dry out and or a seabreeze.. Then u are in trouble.

From BOM's SWW issued at 12.02pm: 'HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is expected to develop across central parts of the State during the morning before slowly contracting to northeastern Victoria during the evening.' (My bold)

Time is running out; and humidity is falling here. DP's dropped from 19 to 15C.

Gordon's El Cheapo weather service is cancelling the SWW for heavy rainfall west of a line between Yarrawonga and Cape Schank.

BOM's multi-million dollar weather service still keeping the line west of Ballarat... Assume the big bucks are buying info El Cheapo doesn't have access to :) .

You should be the Australian distributor of such a high tech device.

Love the sound of that service you've got going Gordon.

5.4mm here this afternoon. Some good close-range thunder, but was kind of hoping for a bigger impact! 8.8mm for the event and currently a bit of sunshine with some convection out to my north. Just had a brief shower pass through and the wind has picked up again from the NNW.
