Cold max of 13.3C here today. Fog cleared about noon, and we saw the sun for the first time in three and a bit days
The three days of continuous fog is something I haven’t seen here in January since the early 2000s. Can happen in December but very rare in January. In that time we had more than 40mm of drizzle or light rain.
Flipping back to summer now. Hopefully some storms in the mix next week.
Crazy contrast across the state. Falls of 50-150mm across much of the south and west, particularly if you were on a hill or near the coast, but less than 5mm for others. Our place at Walkerville got over 100mm, while Ferny Creek just less than 65mm.
It’s been quite classical La Niña for some of us, but more like El Niño for others. Hoping something statewide arrives.
Btw crazy storms in Brisbane atm.
