just caught the edge of that band of thunder showers. 2mm in quick time. Few gauges which caught the red spots already over 10mm
Yeah, drove through that one, highest speed wipers were struggling. Looks like the moisture is definitely here

What's the current water storage capacity of Bass Strait?
It's getting a good, widespread downpour.

Some serious backbuilding with this system
Should rain most of the night then perhaps ease a little then pickup late morning into the afternoon with heavy showers with the SW wrap around
EC is back on board with 27mm
So far 5mm

Just on 13mm here so far. Caught the edge of lots of bands, but none properly. Currently pouring to my north and south, with both areas in the 20-30mm range.
Wet day ahead, particularly central and east. The system is deepening and slow moving so if you get under a band it will add up quickly.

Scraped 18mm for 9am. Thick fog here atm. MTD just shy of 90mm, so need about 10mm to get to average
wettest year here since at least 1996
Waiting for the swly stream to kick in. Should make for a wet arvo.

Bit dissapointing so far here with just 6.8mm's up to 9am and the same at Ballarat Airport.
My MTD is 28.8mm's and Ballarat MTD is 25.6mm's. Monthly average is 50mm's so its
unlikely we will reach that.
Looks like just a few showers for the rest of the day and just a few mm's.

8mm here. 22mm MTD. The wrap-around today looks fairly weak. I'm not expecting much if anything.

Had 8mm and felt Today is September.
Radar likey burnout over divided ranges.
We can say is big wet and say too much rain on New Years Eve, too early yet if Chart accurate .

Good drop last night with 16mm, looks like a wet afternoon with rain starting to push up from the south.

'Thick' rain has arrived here with the wraparound; not big drops (yet) but very dense - expect it to add up if it continues like this.
Edit: Pretty heavy now, radar is underestimating - exact opposite of yesterday!

After being on the edge of everything the whole day nearly, finally a direct hit and bucketing now.
Most of the action has been 2km away +. My parents in Cranbourne east had 9mm today so far so whilst i had 2mm since 9am. Although event is now up to 25mm, so not bad

Doesn’t look that impressive, but a good drop if you’re lucky enough to get hit.
Not the best wrap around we’ve had...
