As I got closer, i could make out 3 levels of rotation on the front cell. Once again, haze made it hard to see, and being over 60km away from it still. This cell dropped mulitple wall clouds from what I saw. The next few pics are taken over 10min...

Thanks guys...

another report
I managed to get out of work to try and intercept the massive cell that Meso and Brad were on that originated around Elmore. As I rushed down the Highway towards Axedale, I snapped this shot...
Image
From there, I got to the Quarry on the otherside of Axedale, but the main core was already passed me over the road so I decided to stop of for a quick snap.
Image
Afterwards, I decided to head back to Bendigo, so as not to get in to much trouble with the boss. However got caught in the RFD from this first cell and myself along with many others were forced to pull over to the side of the road as we endured strong winds, rain, and marble size hail for around 3 min. Afterwards, I got ready to go, and halfway back to Bendigo I saw a huge wall cloud coming over the hill behind me in my revision mirror. Pulling a U-turn this was my initial view.
Image
Image
As I watched for the next 5 min, it developed a nice lowering, but from what I saw never got lower than this.
Image
Image
Heading back through Axedale, back to the quarry, maybe a 5min drive it had gone to this...
Image
It was wrapping up nicely, but at the same time seemed to be over extending itself.
Image
I followed a little longer to near the Eppalock Spillway, where by this point the wall cloud had pretty much dissipated and was throwing tendrils of scud out.
Image
So back home I went. A nice little 40km chase.

A baby is perfect practice for portraits mate, the foot shot is fantastic!!!! I love abstract shots and that one really stands out to me. As does this one, I'd leave this as it is, I don't think you need to change it at all. Great shots.

Thanks Tizza. :)

Part 1

I was down at St Leonards for the week of the 6th till the 14th... Whilst we didnt get all that much sun, I was very happy to get 3 amazing Sunsets and a very nice Line coming across the bay on the 12th of Jan. I've only got pictures of the Line and 1 sunset atm, as my card reader has 2 bent pins... :@

This is the view from Port Arlington looking back over towards Geelong and Avalon as it was coming over. I felt like I was in the tropics looking over the sea with storms like this coming over... :)
Image
.
Image

An interesting scud feature, but thought nothing of it....
Image

Thankfully for me, it started to grow the closer it got to the bay.
Image
.
Image
After a while I noticed a very strong wall cloud come out from behind the precip... look to the left of picture between the rain curtains.
Image

Now I didnt hear any reports of any water spouts or anything of the sort, but I tell you what it must have come mighty close....
Image
.
Image

The wall cloud disapeared from view, and a massive HP Cell was bearing down on me.... Picture as it comes over the bay at full 10mm...

Part 2

I waited for it to pass over me, with a nice rain rate in a couple of places (total whiteout...lol)
I headed back to St Leonards to get the back of the line, luckily for me it was right on sunset. This would have to rate in the top 2 sunsets I've ever witnessed. Camera doesnt really do it any justice...

Started off with the biggest, brightest, double rainbow i could ever have seen... Even at 10mm it didnt really fit...
Image

Then it just got better and better....

Some photo's downstream of Lake Eppalock, near Baranadown.

Jan 31st 2011
A Dam wall couldnt cope with the amound of water pouring in.

And all these are over the bride on the Bendigo-Murchison Road over the Campaspe.

Anyone that uses this road often, would remember the white fence that is owned by the Chancery Lodge owned by John Farnahm. Half of this fence is no more. Totally washed away from the force of the flood waters.

And a nice old windmill on the same road...

Yeah, those triplets looks like what I saw tonight too. Wasn't getting any static on the radio or anything tho, so didn't get too excited. You captured them in some nice light there tho!
