About 15mm, which is pretty decent. No thunderstorms, which I figured was going to be the case given the amount of cloud and mild temps.

The mildish few days ahead will allow the rain we’ve had to soak in.

Great Working Day here,
No dust when mowing,
Not too hot to mow,
No sunscreen required,
Good dump of rain yesterday.

Picked up 2mm in FC today. Keeps it ticking over. Managed to pick the first line of showers, but missed the second lot.

Looks wet and becoming colder tomorrow. Would not be surprised to see 20mm in the eastern burbs through Yarra Valley.

Picked up 20mm for the weekend so far down here in Walkerville. Everything is nice and soggy again :D

Great falls across NSW. Been a long time since gauges have filled across large swathes (including inland areas)

Would be good if it was a sign of changing patterns..

Yes same here, another 7mm takes us to 36mm and raining again now! I expected maybe 20mm for these dates so well ahead.

Must be up to your monthly average almost already? Great to see, just weeks out from summer is always a good time for a soaking.

Cold, wet and miserable here in FC. 6mm so far. Pretty classical Cup Weekend weather, which I reckon is about the worst/best weekend for rain and storms in Melbourne’s calendar :D

More showers inbound. Temperature is just 8C, so no surprises it is snowing in the alps this arvo (just started at Baw Baw).

EDIT> just got a cracking coldie. 3mm in quick time with a heap of small hail. Peak rain rate of 168mm/hr overtopped the gutters. Another band inbound. MTD is not far off 50mm now, so very handy start to the new month :D

Squall line formed on the plains west of the CBD. Any photos?

Not often you get red on the radar in a squall with coldies.

Just got smashed by a ripping thunder and hailstorm. Haven't checked gauge yet but likely over 10mm.

What is that blue blob on the Doppler going east to west? Could be interesting when it meets.

Looks like I've missing most of the action while I'm down here on the island. Saw that squall line back in the west on the radar while walking the dog. :o

Meanwhile down here we have virtually had dribs & drabs.

Most odd that feature. Wonder if it is an aliasing related to the very rapid squall line and the shift of winds from east to west at the radar?

Had a couple of booming rumbles here, even though the squall line is about 30km away :o

Seen pictures that it was a hail storm in the Hoppers Crossing region.
