Cold wet and windy night in the Nongs. Min of 2C with a further 10mm in the gauge :D Bit of icy stuff lying in the garden this morning, which looks to be a mix of graupel and hail. Probably not quite cold enough for snow, but could have been some flurries in the wee hours :D

Clearing now. Progs are looking almost summery the next ten days with much weaker troughs and fronts. Hopefully don’t stay that way for long, as I prefer spring ;)

MTD is about 70mm so tracking nicely. Been the type of systems that really favours east central. City on just 15mm, by comparison.

Brutally cold this morning. Happy with 11mm over the weekend but it looks dry in coming week.

I was in the Southern Mallee this weekend. Grain and canola crops are looking very nice.

Only 5mm for me in total to 6am this morning, noticeably wetter at the airport. Escaping the cold Melbourne weather to Bali 🌞😎

Another 8mm for us, so 25mm for the dates (extended to 9/9?)

Horrible couple of days here to be honest, relentless wind that must have come close to warning thresholds yesterday evening (blew over our steel soccer goal for the first time ever), and 2-4C last several hours (3C now). Absolutely bitter.

I just noticed we haven't gone more than 3 days without rain since the end of June, so maybe that's why I'm looking forward to a few finer, milder days!

That bloody wind has been horrible here as well Gordon. Really over it. :x

Been a wet 24 hours here with constant showers pushing through this morning. Had to navigate two of them while walking the dog.

Will be happy to start seeing some warmer conditions.

2mm more overnight. Has been quite heavy at times despite the lack of rain on the radar. Also very very thick fog. Viz down to about 50m.

Bit of a contrast from Perth we’re I have been for a few days where yesterday saw a record early season heatwave and a max of 33C. Farmers there are on a knife edge with the crops running out of moisture and this heat happening far too early.

A photo of the fog. Quite eerie and very very thick. Camera doesn’t quite get the perspective at times.

Out MTD is about 75mm so a great start to the new month locally :)

Bright sunny morning after a cold start of 1 degC.

Some interesting weather this Monday on 18Z GFS. It could get quite wet in much of Northern Vic with a stalled trough/front along the Murray.
