Thundersnow here :D has settled pretty well in the garden with about a cm so far on the grass. Precip is a bit more showery than yesterday so mix of sago snow (.graupel and flakes). Hoping to see a bay special develop and give us a big fall. Radar ok, but not not great. Temperature is currently 0.3C so chance for it to dip below a zero which hasn’t happened here is 2008.

Here’s a couple of photos.

3.8 degrees here and moderate rain. For Bendigo I’ve never seen it rain at that low of a temp before, not counting drizzle obviously :D

Edit- noticed some sleet in a heavy shower at approx 5.20am.

The Snow that fell about 2 hours ago has almost melted now.
Keeping my eye on that band coming up from the south and hoping
it holds together. Still just 1.2c here so maybe more snow soon.

Still got light snow falling here. Got one shot at a good fall IMHO with the front moving up. The flow goes southerly behind this and will dry out pretty quickly. Few holes in the band and a few thicker parts so bit of pot luck. Currently 0.3C here with a light frost freezing the snow to cold surfaces.

Car in Olinda is saying it's -1 degrees celsius outside and there's heaps of stuff showing on the radar! This is going to be wicked!

Moderate snow here atm. Temperature about 0.5C. Hoping to see that band thicken up when it hits bayside.

Pretty annoyed that I’ve got a new temperature sensor which is reading about 1C too warm atm, which means I have to adjust everything down :( :x

Cerberus has dropped about 1.5C with the band so it is dragging down some nice cold air :D

Nice updates crew. Briefly snowed a couple of times during the night here. The main show is now heading in from the south.

Based on current obs in central Vic, it seems likely sleet could go to 100m, snow down to 200 to 250m.

Got a few more flakes when that 2nd band hit but not much as the temperature had risen about one degree
since that first lot. First lot was pure snow and there was a dusting on the ground that took about 2 hours to
fully melt. 2nd lot was mixed in with rain.
Temp now 2.3c and still rising so the shows over for me.

Wondering if that red blob that went over Wonthaggi dropped any snow around there.
