Nothing more overnight (so 3mm for the 24 hours, plus 7mm the 24 hours before that) but has set in again since about 8am. About 1.5mm so far this morning. Quite mild ATM with a temperature of about 8C.

Colder air will start to move in from early arvo. 850Ts look like dropping a little below -4C so marginal for snow in the Dandenongs, but a definate chance. Moisture doesn't look that good, though overnight with showers mainly sticking to the northeast ranges and coastal strip. Tomorrow looks better as the winds go more southerly and showers pick up, though temperatures will also nudge up a touch.

Thinking that we might get the odd flurry overnight at this stage, then a pretty good chance for some graupel/sleet through tomorrow. Better for areas with another 100m of elevation and the Otways and South Gippsland where there should be some proper flurries (though perhaps marginal for settling).

5.6mm to 9am this morning and another 3mm since 9am. Still very showery at the moment, waiting for my car to be serviced. Sitting at 11 degrees.

I think the Otways might get a bit of a flurry, HB. I hope that you can score something where you are though, I know you've been waiting a while! :P

The sky/clouds have that snowy look here today, whereas yesterday it was just that leaden, wintry wet look.
Fingers crossed.
Not overly cold though. 6.5C at home now.

Is mild here ATM. Been hovering around 9C with drizzly rain, and the odd heavier burst. Had some small hail just before. 5mm in the gauge for today (now).

Heavy falls starting down on the coast. Our place at Walkerville has scored 12mm in the last couple of hours with lots more to come.

Cold air moving in here now with temperature down to 5C. Got a sharp shower with the leading edge of the cold air with a flurry of small hail. Had 6mm here so far today, so steadily adding up.

Looks like a cold, windy night with the odd shower. Next trough wips through tomorrow morning with showers increasing. A window for some flurries here and other marginal spots from about 6 to 10am. Freezing level drops to about 900m for a while, so likely down to about 600m, and perhaps a bit below. Anticipating at least 10mm here tomorrow :D Big falls about the northeast and coastal strip with lots of coldies streaming nearly parallel to the coast.

Yay :)

Down to 4C here. Getting spitty showers. Thinking we will dip to around 2C overnight looking at the 850Ts. Synoptics look quite good for snow, just comes down to a degree or so at this point for the Dandenongs.

Its 5c at 11pm in Bendigo and we sit at 200 meters from sea level so Mount Macedon VIC should turn white tomorrow..
Very disappointment big hole of dry out in middle of Victoria not bring any showers when stable

The Otways doing their thing again and blocking any precipitation from coming into central areas

3C here ATM and edging down. About 0.5C too warm for snow currently. Had no more in the gauge overnight (so 6mm past 24 hours), but did get a couple of brief bursts of graupel. Incoming trough should be with us within the next hour. Is very well timed for snow, just comes down to a degree or so of temperature.

Wild on the coast - place at Walkerville has seen 25mm last 24 hours. Also a significant storm surge. On the bay the gauges fell about 15-20cm short of a record, which is pretty notable given pressure isn't that low.
