VIC - Cold week with occasional showers: June 18-22 2019

Tas rainfall since 9am: Reece Dam 44mm, Zeehan 34mm, Mt Victoria 21mm, Mt Barrow 14mm, Launceston 5.4mm, Hobart 2mm

Good to see the east picking up a bit. Quite a bad drought affecting eastern Tasmania atm, while the west continues soggie. Case of all fronts and fewer cut-offs this year.

Showery night in the Dandenongs with graupel, but most only lasted a few minutes. Up to 9mm now. This system is going to be slow to clear so the odd shower today, Thursday, Friday and even Saturday. Pretty sparse, but with cold uppers the showers will be dumpers. Down to 3C here atm, so would suggest snow showers to around 800m.

Next high is a monster. Hopefully we sneak one more front before July, but touch and go.

On the BOM 4 day chart the next high looks to be positioned a long way south for Winter, more in its usual summer location??

Ended up with 6.5mm here which brings us to a tidy 90mm mtd, 9.5mm above the June average.

If we can get another 10mm, we will be on track for ytd for the first time in 2019.

Max of 6C for us today with another mm of rain and graupel. Tomorrow looks a degree colder and wetter. Could well see some surprise moderate falls around central Vic as colder air pushes in. EC has local 10-15mm falls. Wouldn’t totally rule out a flurry in the Dandenongs.

Scored a handy 10mm yesterday. Today has been chilly and crisp. Everything is so green. Tomorrow has a forecast top of 11... Great couple weeks so far.

Showers thickening up as expected. Should make for a wet day, particularly in central areas. Radar suggests there could be a light cover of snow about parts of the central ranges above (about) 800m.

Nothing more here overnight,but should pick up as we see the low level flow go cyclonic and the chillier air moves in. Current temperature 5C.

HB it was raining here a little while ago and 1C. I dont think there is any snow.
Its too dark and gloomy to see anything.
A few more cars than normal heading up the mountain this morning which might indicate there is something happening up higher.

Didnt quite get below zero at my place in Sebastopol Min was 0.2c.

There is some icy blobby rain falling now at Macedon where i work.
Still a bit too warm at home on 2.8C now.
