Gosh it's heading straight for Nhill. Agree with you Rhino re: coverage and the intensity of that storm, nasty.

Just had our first flash and rumble here. Rain is sporadic off and on with a very strong smell of rain in the air.

Is there a chance there's a bit more going on in the radar hole than what we're seeing?

Radar indicating we're on the edge of some rain here, yet not a drop has fallen over our way... yet ;) Loving the commentary and the humble pie eating that's going on in here tonight :D Looks like it's going to stay active across the state for some time to come, too. Edit: Oh, and Stefan, you be car...

Have a feeling the bulk of this line is going to slide just south of us, but hopefully a few minutes of rain and more importantly a bit of a drop in temps! My goodness it's humid out there, the cat's head is going to explode trying to keep up with chasing all the bugs :P

Temperature outside now is BOB (bordering on bulls@#t. Laugh.My. You-Know-What-Off!!! :hysteria: Temp gauge in the car was showing 39C which I didn't quite believe (and I burnt my bum sitting on the blazing leather seat!), but now I'm home I'm recording 40C. While the WS isn't sited in the best spo...

Re: Heatwave - Nov 24 to ???

Arrrrghhhhhh! Left home at 8.20am, I've just arrived back home as traffic was at a standstill. Took me 40 minutes to travel about 4km. Wellington Road isn't moving, so will head off FTG Rd way. Still lots of thunder and lightning here, roads are flooded - take care :)

Certainly was wild and woolly in Adelaide, 15 year old boy struck by lightning and some impressive lightning photos appearing in the media: http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/wild-weather-and-more-on-the-way/story-e6frea83-1226510451818" onclick="window.open(this.href);retu...

Off to the north and down to the south, but nothing in between  It's trying though, little bit coming in off the bay now :D

Edit: Radar says it's raining here, but as yet, not a drop has fallen. Viewbank/Watsonia area looks to be winding up nicely though :)

Re: No McDonalds in Tecoma, Dandenong Ranges!

Obviously I'm not directly in the area, but I really feel sad that this may happen in our local Ranges. I don't get it, why would anyone deem it necessary when there's plenty of Macca's just down the road in places like FTG, Rowville, Boronia, etc.? Crying shame, it really can't go ahead, it just ca...

Re: No McDonalds in Tecoma, Dandenong Ranges!

Oh absolutely. Was reading about this the other night in The Age & was speaking to some parents at cricket this morning about this (we were playing Upwey Tecoma). It really is a great shame that VCAT have made this decision. They overturned an application to build one at Knoxfield (opposite the ...

Radar says it's raining here, but has been barely a drop. Looks like that's about to change though given the looks of the sky. More coming in behind it too.

Start of cricket season today, of course it's raining!

Re: Spam Emails

Actually, mine are really light on now. I still get a fair bit of unsolicited emails from companies that I have dealt with (they're good at signing you up for newsletters and unless you read the fine print when dealing with them, you tend to miss the opt out), but other than that it's been quiet lat...

Re: Unsettled Weather - Showers and storms. Sep 16th - Sep 2

I smell a storm brewing. Not sure where you are at the moment ILS, but here at home it's still as still, you can feel it in the air. You'd think at least some rain out of it? LOL @ Shell, bringing back memories with "Off to mow a meadow"! Conjures up images of my dad in the 70's driving th...
