Wish I could see the development, it's all grey skies here at the moment, there's a slightly darker grey to my west, but that's all I can see.

Very overcast and dreary here - only seen some short showers this morning, and have doubts that this will clear. It is really muggy though - quite uncomfortable. Temp is sitting at around 21c.

Northerly has hit here and rain has stopped. No more lightning or thunder either - just the sound of various firecrackers going on in the neighbourhood.

It's quite eerie outside though - quite cool which is a relief.

Walked outside just after midnight with a crawler and CC at the same time - the cracking sound was deafening! An awesome welcome to 2010!

Holy Gazoots! Just had the loudest crack of thunder just after the brightest flash of lightning!

The lightning is not abating as I thought it would!

Lightning starting to die down here - but rain is persisting which is good.

It sure has cooled down considerably since the front hit - down to 23c with 74% humidity

Still no signs of slowing down here either - rain has just started to get heavier, and still have lightning and thunder about - still quite bright too.

Still going along here nicely - although the lightning is getting brighter and the thunder louder, doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon, rain still going here - not as heavy as before though.

OMG Amazing light show - every 2 seconds is strobing lightning - CCs, CGs, Crawlers the lot! Very heavy rain for about 5 minutes and getting soaked on my quick run to the car - booming rumbles! This is a fantastic end to an otherwise crappy NYE. Would love another one purely for photo ops as unfortu...

Holy hell, sky is as black as! About to hit big time - gotta fly to the hospital for 5 minutes - will update more when I return!

DE, I think you will have the risk of a storm with one or two showers about - the action will be all east. Cells redeveloping on the eastern ranges. Look great from here. Hope they increase and spawn some reasonable lightning before the main course of weather arrives! :hangloose: = I don't know but...

Some thunder out here in Doncaster, only a couple of rumbles though, no lightning visible. Poured for about 5 minutes but has since abated. Wasn't expecting any thunder!

Me thinks it's slipping too far SE for me, went for a walk to Doncaster Shoppingtown and can see that band - quite nice looking in the way of rain, didn't get a chance to snap a picture though - should've thought of that!

I might give it a crack myself - my guess is 85mm.
