I recorded an event total of 128.3 mm here in Ballan.

Watching a truly amazing lightning show out West. Flashes every 3-4 seconds. Lovely stuff! You could cut the air with a knife, it's that darn muggy.

Rolling thunder right over the top of the house here in Ballan, doing a damn good job at shaking the walls! Definite greenage, and lighting strikes are getting more frequent. Thick raindrops, but nothing to worry about ... yet.

Time to shut the PC, for fear of a power surge. Stay safe all!

Morning all

Well, my 110mm rain gauge has officially topped out, so I am now unsure of the exact total. What a massive event!!!!

Went and had a peek at the condition of the Werribee River here in Ballan (200 metres down the road). She is gushing. Never seen it in such a state.

Quoting my trusty ol' rain gauge ...."that beast of a storm produced 21mm in 20 minutes here in Ballan".

The whole sky has turned green here in Ballan. Thunder and lighting everywhere!!!

It just proves that, if one is fortunate enough to find his/herself directly under one of these powerful cores, they will receive a decent ol' drop!
