Hi All Same up here in Canberra re maximums, currently sitting on an average of 14.0 for July Vs av 12.7C at the airport. Tuggeranong is sitting on 14.2C vs Av 12.4C. Looking very cold in Canberra from Thursday 8 August 2019 at least Sunday 11 August 2019.

The way the models are shaping up this it could be a significant snow event for Canberra and the ACT.

Showers starting to build to the west of the ACT, should be a wet and windy night. Still snow chance tomorrow morning, depends if there are any showers left when the coldest air is around (always an issue for snow in Canberra).

Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds issued.

About a mm overnight, tomorrow looks wetter with about 10mm expected, mainly Friday night. Still snow possible on Saturday morning, going to be some low apparent temps on the weekend.

Chance of snow about the higher suburbs of Canberra Saturday morning if there is any precipitation around, 850 temps around -4 and 500mb temps of -31C. Will try and get to some higher spots to see if I can score some snow.

I should add it is looking very windy during this period.
