the clouds parted and went around us, sunshine again.

looks like i will be watering things tonight!

cant seem to make its mind up which direction its going, was heading this way but now has gone more towards the city

didn't get much sleep last night, this was outside my window all night!

yes the wind is real scary at the moment here, power flicking - glad i have a UPS for the computer!

distant lightning but its blowing a gale here, power flicking on and off, looks like whats out west is rapidly coming this way

all gone too far south again, dont think any storms or rain for here today!

all going south of me here, there was some distant thunder this morning but thats it

hmm another day of possibly severe storms forecast for here but nothing happened, and I doubt anything will happen tonight despite the models telling me it will!

lol updated forecast is still clinging to the chance of a severe thunderstorm for this area

no its just not happening today, all out east

nope developing out east as usual, if we could get some clear air/sky here i bet chances would be better

another update...lets see...i must admit the clouds are suddenly growing with typical storm high tops so, maybe...but...hmmm

Sorry for ranting, but its a very valid rant, the inconsistency is the problem. If you update a forecast at 4.30 for next to no rain and "showers" but then almost immediately release a storm warning for the same area for heavy rainfall, then cancel it within the hour...hmm?

The pattern long term ...

storm warning only just got distributed and now its cancelled!....lol

seriously, i cant believe anything thats being spat out of the official channels lately, its now saying 8mm for this area

no storms for here, 0-8mm forecast now

i predicted that days ago!

edit: severe thunderstorm warning now for here for heavy rainfall...?? sure? lets see!

Yep, completely backed off.

I'm giving reverse psychology a try: if promising models keep letting me down, maybe a downgrade will do the opposite :) .


well i havent brought anything in, everythings out to get smashed if we got a storm, so maybe that will work! - maybe i should put some ...

haha now since 9.30am the bom upgraded rainfall for this area again, lol - its a forecast that u can change as it happens, which isnt a forecast, thats a nowcast

Sadly its downgraded just like all before for here, it always predicts armageddon in the future then changes closer and especially the day before....

the models showing all the lightning has vanished almost completely, rainfall levels have been dropped by BOM

I tell everyone NEVER take any notice ...

bom already downgrading friday and sat in latest forecasts, this always happens, i expect it will be nothing like forecast either
