Grand Final Weekend front

Solid rainband over us presently. High country is drier than it should be for now and the lake is dropping thanks to GV irrigation I guess.

Yeah that early AM temp spike is nuts.

This rain band has been a giver for us so far with about 10mm falling since it started about 6 and still delivering moderate rain presently.

Indian Ocean SSTa is worth noting. Really warm patch South of India, and a cold patch near Java is having a strong influence IMO. There could be a supercell outbreak in Vic tomorrow afternoon looking at those SRH values... Tornado anyone? You look like being in a prime spot for intense storms ...

A heavy rain period lasting 20mins for us up here around 11 but that's it for now. Dry but not ridiculous Mansfield way ATM.

Lake Eildon just under 90% has risen slightly from the seasonal low of 88%.

Vigorous westerly stream with a series of fronts: July 19-

A wet and freezing day in Mansfield with temp maxing at around 7c. Snow was settling after lunch from about 900m. Drove to Tolmie where it was heavy at times. There'd be a thick over now.

ECL and cold fronts 5 April - 12 April

Torrential in bayside earlier. Rained all night and absolutely bucketing earlier. Feels like we’ve had about 50 mm in Brighton Yes, inner bayside was in a good position. The city got a quick, isolated dump around 6pm with 12mm. The rainband then really amplified with 3 hours of solid rain here, ...

Hope you’re right there snowfall. Was surprised by ongoing storms last night from around 11 and then right through on an off until 4. These delivered just under 10 mm. This part of the NE is still pretty green but grass fires still a large risk.

Just shy of 30mm here since 9:30 so heavy but can't see where the 100mm + falls would be occurring given the front/rainband is moving quite quickly east with nothing much behind it looking at the satellite :?

Yeah same up here. Just started again in Mansfield and quite heavy now. Expecting 30-50mm today depending on storm development.
