24mm Storm started around 3.30pm, with big balls of dust blowing down every street, and through my house while I was too busy watching it. IMG_20191226_155105-1459x1094.jpg Great storm, good rain, lightning & thunder, on & off for several hours. We're all very very happy out here this morning.

Are we just in make believe land now where FACTS no longer matter ? Sadly, marakai, judging by a lot of what I've read in the last few years about all kinds of things, this appears to be the case. Reckon we're on the downhill run and just have to make the best of it. Bit depressing, but fascinating...

As usual, a blob right over us, and mostly getting occasional splatters. It "rained" for about 30 seconds. There IS water in the rain gauge, but not sure if it measures a whole millimetre.

Dry at Chillagoe? Yes. Very. 40°+ every day. Gotten used to it this year. Creek is dry at the causeway again. My 2 citrus trees and mango are looking very sad with only getting water twice a week. Oh yes, we've had some strong winds, til just a few days ago. Even howling in the night time. Got so I had to shut the back doors & windows for a few days. Wiping dust off the laptop every day even though it's covered, god knows what it's like inside.

Weather's been beautiful out here the last week or so. Mostly mid 30s, and a couple only 30.
Rain on the Tableland producing cool winds. I think the worst of the big winds are over, fingers crossed.

We didn't get any rain of course, but yesterday (22nd) was a whole 9° cooler than usual at 31°C. Spoiled by the horrible constant strong winds and occasional whirlwinds. *Everything* is now covered in a layer of fine grit, not just dust.

Just another 40 degree day. Friday we had some scattered storms come past, even some thunder. Could even smell the water in the air, but nothing on the ground, my rain guage is still dry.
