The latest ACCESS - G model going for something big next week. GFS a bit more circumspect

Looks like very low snow levels next Wednesday

Models seem to have pushed the Low early next week further to the East and scraping Eastern Victoria and Tasmania

Rain overnight: Pine Tree Rivulet 79mm, Mt Barrow 64mm, Scottsdale 35mm, Poatina 31mm, Deloraine 29mm, Launceston 18mm, Hobart 0mm.
GFS had a downgrade on the East Coast LOW on its latest run. Hope it reverses on the next run.

May 29th temps in TAS today: Ouse 21.0, Cape Bruny 20.0, Hobart 19.6,Friendly Beaches 19.1, Launceston 18.2

Both GFS and ACCESS now have the East Coast LOW. GFS has it stronger and earlier in the week.

A couple of weak fronts next week and then by May 17th it's established again

Only 0.8mm of rain in Launceston in the last 12 days. We look like getting through to the 13th May at least with no rain for May.

Hobart has received just 85.6mm of rain so far this year. Jan - April average is 151.6mm

In the last 45 days Launceston has recorded about 9mm of rain.

In the last 90 minutes (to 1.30pm) St Helens (NE Tas) has had 60mm of rain. Since 7.30pm last night St Helens 146mm. Incredible!

Tuesday 20th February is shaping up as a very hot day.

The next two weeks look very, very dry for Tas and Vic

Heavy rain on the north west coast of Tassie causing issues. 70mm in the Ulverstone area in a short space of time.

Might affect us indirectly but a number of models throwing up a central Queensland cyclone middle of next week.

GFS just threw this up for south east Tasmania. It will probably be gone by next run but it would be interesting if it eventuated.

GFS don't seem interested anymore on their latest run, just a weakish summer front followed by heat on the days following 20/1. ACCESS G still keen though. Pretty divergent forecasts only a few days out.
