Of note was that Sunday had a max temp of 39.3c, Monday only 20.4c. Pretty decent cold change and coldest January max since 2021.

But when it comes to temp drops between days, Feb 1-2 2005 reigns supreme and is unlikely to ever be challenged ...

January 11-13th is the main point of interest for me now. Potential is there for significant rainfall. Or it could be nothing.

Mt William AWS went offline at 1:30am last night. Either lost power or got run over by fire. 70-80 kmh gusts when it died.

Well, it's a tropical downpour here with the change....

Looking forward to a cooler and drier week ahead though, with max temps in low to mid-20s. Nice.

Crazy divergence in forecasts. 0-60mm on Friday. Mad.

We've gone from totally brown lawns to lushness in the past week.

Friday has downgraded, but still a good chance of another 15-40mm here. Farmers are having a tough time trying to harvest damp crops atm.

IC still reckons 60mm here on Friday-Saturday, but significant tropographic influence will make it patchy downwind of the Great Divide again.

Anyway, I will note there has been a notable lack of polar air drifting over us this Spring. The climate seems to go more sub-tropical in summer now...

Being on the Northern slopes has helped us overnight. The strongly -ve IOD has finally kicked in and is having an affect.

Nearly 70mm in the past 10 days. YTD = 520mm at Bendigo AWS.

19mm overnight. Very very humid still.

Bendigo YTD is 497mm which is just 50mm below the Annual mean, so we are closing in and may exceed it in the coming week or so.

Looks like 15-20mm possible tonight, and potentially a very very wet Friday if some of the forecasts verify...

Some rain near Swan Hill/Kerang on the radar. Meanwhile, 18z GFS and IC have little or no rain now forecast for the rest of the week. Very jumpy model outputs.

Today was fairly non-eventful tbh. Tuesday might be a bit stormy.
