Planning a storm chase Saturday; thinking NE Vic. What do people think?

32mm here - will keep the fires away for a bit longer!

Our son sent us vid of flakes at Romsey but not collecting on the ground. Around 6pm it was -4c at 2000ft above Tulla (don't know if ASL or AGL). I did see snow clouds at that altitude above Wallan, but nothing (snow) reached the ground. Was 5c at 90% humidity so too warm and moist.

Here in Wallan, I recorded a max gust of 90klm/hr just after 4 am. Was a one off extreme gust - maybe a rotor off the hill where the BoM have their AWS 5klm north?? Baro dropped to 994Hpa.

Next week looks wild, particularly for more southern areas. EC putting near record low pressure through Hobart with an intense westerly set up. Will produce a lot of snow down here on the mountains while the mainland has day after day of above average temps, and a pretty good chance of break the ...

By the BoMs own wording that's 75% chance of the first figure and 25% chance of the 2nd figure

Here it all went around us and kicked up 10 gears to the south. Only 4 mm here with max wind to 35klm
