Felt like there was a microburst in bayside earlier riding home torrential in Elwood and trees down and firies pumping out properties in Brighton with trees down - one across the tracks at middle Brighton station - and a real mess.

Has taken all day for fog to clear and temp to reach 8 degrees in Melb.

Can’t remember an almost sunless week like this in Melbourne for a year or two.

I always find this kind of weather quite peculiar but I don’t dislike it. We’re weeks away from summer, the UV is super strong, the sun is shining and it’s generally pretty peachy, but if I’m not in the sun, I’m frozen by windchill, if I’m in the sun, I’m burning. Still raining here in Port Melbourne, 33mm for the event so far. We really needed this, it has been so dry.

This September has been so warm, average maxes in Melb have not only been warmer than 2022 (by 4 degrees) but September 2023’s maxes have also been warmer than October and November 2022!
