Re: Series of weak troughs with some showers and storms: November 17-22

I always find this kind of weather quite peculiar but I don’t dislike it. We’re weeks away from summer, the UV is super strong, the sun is shining and it’s generally pretty peachy, but if I’m not in the sun, I’m frozen by windchill, if I’m in the sun, I’m burning. Almost feels like “alpine” type wea...

Still raining here in Port Melbourne, 33mm for the event so far. We really needed this, it has been so dry.

Impressive stats for September.

What time do we think the rain will arrive in Melbourne tomorrow?

Re: Warming up to early season heat possibly followed by rain: Late September to early October

This September has been so warm, average maxes in Melb have not only been warmer than 2022 (by 4 degrees) but September 2023’s maxes have also been warmer than October and November 2022!

What a cracking day.

Scary temps for the time of year for Sydney though.

Glad I’m not doing the Marathon tomorrow there - 30 degrees forecast. 😬

Light sea breeze has come in bayside. Rather early in the year for sea breezes but welcome

Feels rather humid though.

The wind chill is evil today.

The ride home from work was hell. Hot shower time!

Another pretty mild and gentle week coming up for Melbourne.

Winter just dribbling away.

The “cold” outbreaks are really half hearted this year aren’t they.

Back up to 18 degrees again in the city today after yesterday’s “event”…

Someone told me they saw a few flakes of snow in St Kilda earlier amongst the freezing foggy drizzle!

I cycle commute daily so this winter has been pretty nice really. Good for those who like to exercise out of doors. Do enjoy the increased sun we’ve had to this winter.

A little boring though admittedly.

Been a couple of fronts the last week or few which have given me El Niño vibes, little rain, dribs and drabs which wet the ground but don’t really deliver a lot…droughts do sometimes start in an insidious way like this….

Don’t mind a few days warmth tbh. Breaks up the winter nicely and allows for more comfortable time spent out of doors. Yes, little excitement though!

It does stretch back a long way, both west and north, it’s still raining in Adelaide.

We could be in for quite a drenching.

Very fortunate that few people live there. Imagine the devastation of a Cat 4-5 over a large city!
