OK a little off topic but kind of weather related. At around 1am a tanker exploded in rowville sending a fireball 150 metres down the road and setting 3 cars alight. Springvale only caught the edge of that one and it was impressive enough, marble sized hail. Made my husband run out and cover my car with an old blanket hehehe. Sirens and car alarms going off around us. I suggest any pakenham people go put your cars under cover now just in case.

Awesome site tonycynic, thanks. But still not sure what kind of plane it was, there was a boeing 737 coming from NZ that did a loop under berwick but that wouldn't have put him over springvale. Oh well my husband will just think I've gone crazy......well crazier LOL

I kid you not I just saw a low flying large qantas plane (I dont know enough about planes to tell you if it was a jumbo or not) over my house in Springvale, I've never seen one fly over here before.

Lily they are in a suburb called brinsmead, It is inland a bit (I think about a 7 minute drive west of the CBD), they should be ok. Mum surprisingly didn't sound too stressed about the whole event at all, most of the conversation was her complaining that my dad was being a bossy pain in the arse LOL

Well my parents live in a winnebago in Cairns, last spoke to mum at 11am and her mobile was breaking up so I only heard half of what she said, a dozen of the caravan park residents have bunkered down in the park owners house, so I probably wont know how they are until tomorrow afternoon......scary s...
