At last some thunder and torrential rain in Camberwell East - no longer storm-free for the moment! Went out to chase but bits of tree were flying around the Balwyn area, so retreated to the safety of home.
This is absolutely devastating news and my heart goes out to Tony. For a photographer, it's like losing a close and dear friend. It brings back terrible memories for me when all my gear was stolen 7 years ago. The guy who stole my gear was chased interstate by VicPol but once he arrived in NSW, the ...
Seems our ageing and decrepit urban rail system can't handle too much rain.
According to a recent tweet from Metro Trains, "Citybound Pakenham, Cranbourne, Frankston and Sandringham trains are not running via the City Loop" account storm damage.

Nice work AUS_Twisted. I like the Black Rock shots. Am feeling really stupid as I was heading that way and thought I'd be too late to catch that cell, so abandoned the chase - doh! The last lightning shot is my fave - well worth waiting for!
Hey Ricky, IMHO I don't think you've missed much photographically down here in the smoke. The light show is impressive, but most of the lightning has been CCs and embedded in the clouds or the rain curtain. It lights up the sky, but there is no real structure, so its not at all photogenic - just bri...
